Ballancer®Pro

8 DAYS TO RED CARPET READY: PART 3

Now that I’ve figured out what to wear, I’m onto something more challenging.  As I mentioned in previous posts, I had a hysterectomy about 5 1/2 weeks ago.  It takes anywhere from 6 weeks to 6 months to heal up, and while I’m healing at a nice pace, I still need to figure out how to feel as confident as possible … but I can’t exactly go hard core in my workouts like I would normally do.

5.  Lose inches:  I was surprised (and happy) to get a call from Dr. Chiu’s team at Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery asking if I might be up to trying a new technology called the Ballancer Pro for a news segment.  I explained that I had just had surgery and that I would check with my OB Gyn first to make sure it was safe, which she approved after reading the literature. (PS make sure your doctor approves it for you if you decide to do this after a surgery!)  Well, as it turns out, the technology was created and manufactured by a medical equipment company and this treatment was created to help post-surgery patients help get your sluggish lymphatic system going again after surgery.  The nice side effect is that you lose inches.  But let’s be clear, the Ballancer Pro is not a post-surgery only treatment.  For instance, it’s being used now by a few NBA athletes to help with sports recovery AND their wives and girlfriends to keep their bodies nice and contoured.

Listen to what Dr. Chiu had to say about it in this CBS segment(yes, that’s me in the  FDA-approved “space pants” at the end of the piece).   I will share more about the actual protocol in a future post, but let’s just say that this is a non-invasive treatment that feels like a firm massage by like 5 masseuses.  And let’s also say that I lost 6.5 inches in my waist in 6 days !!! Yes, I did cut out sugar and refined starches from my diet but as Dr. Chiu reminded me, that alone wouldn’t produce this kind of result.  It hasn’t before, because hellllllooooo …  I’ve tried.  I’m a total fan and the office itself looks like a beautiful Chanel boutique, which was a nice switch from my recent hospital stay.  Other quick and non-invasive red carpet ready treatments offered by Dr. Chiu include: fillers to get rid of tech-neck line creases and 2 different fillers to helps hands look more youthful and diamond ring ready. Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery.com

6.  Let’s glow:  One of my guilty pleasures is curling up on the couch for an episode of “Watch What Happens Live” with Andy Cohen.  He recently asked the gorgeous Halle Berry  what her beauty must-have’s were.   Her answer was Kinara’s Red Carpet Facial system which she uses every week.  Well, this recent plug must have driven droves of people to their site, because it is temporarily sold out but fret not – you can still pre-order it in time for October.   This kit was designed for those people that may not be able to make it into celebrity facialist Olga Lorencin’s West Hollywood studio. For you glow-getters, you may want to take their Red Carpet challenge.  Use the product everyday for two weeks and then drop down to the regular weekly usage.  Kinara Red Carpet Facial in a Box $105 | OlgaLorencinSkincare.com
